We are always keen to hear from organizations, libraries and bookshops that would like to partner with World Kid Lit CIC to co-host an event promoting translation and inclusive, international reading for young people. Please email Ruth if you’d like to propose an event or project.
School events – with Stephen Spender Trust (UK)
From September 2025, we’re offering creative translation workshops, language tasters and read the world assemblies to schools across the UK, in partnership with the Stephen Spender Trust.
These are exciting, challenging workshops leading pupils from codebreaking to creative writing, using an award-winning scaffolded approach developed by the Stephen Spender Trust. Unlock language skills, broaden horizons, and inspire a curiosity about the world, and a love of language learning and reading!

Tell us about your events
If you are hosting a public event for World Kid Lit Month (September) or an event related to international literature for young people (any time of year), please send us the details by email where possible a month in advance. We can’t promise to share everything, but if we receive the details early enough we try to share the details with our network via our Facebook group and social media.
