Support inclusive global literature

There are many ways you can champion world literature and inclusive books in your community.

Write for World Kid Lit blog

See here for our submissions guide, and get in touch if you would like to write for our blog.

Social media: join the conversation

If you’ve enjoyed a book that was originally written in another language, published in another country, or a set in another country, please share a picture and a few words about it with the hashtags #WorldKidLit or #WorldKidLitMonth in September.

It’s a great way to find out about books from around the world. Please, when you can, also #namethetranslator and the language it was translated from.

You can also use these hashtags to ask questions or share news about international children’s literature, and we’ll be happy to share, and suggest books or resources.

Champion #WorldKidLitMonth

Please help spread the word about World Kid Lit Month which happens every year in September. Tell your local school, library and bookshop about it.

Please share the What is World Kid Lit Month? page of our website, where you will find a wealth of resources to help make a #WorldKidLitMonth display, or celebrate the month in other ways.

Donate!

If you can, please make a donation (or buy us a coffee) via Ko-fi.

Besides covering the costs of maintaining our website and resources, we are fundraising for book bundles for schools, bringing global, inclusive literature into the hands and onto the bookshelves of young people.

Thank you for your support, and please tell your friends about us!
