Our aims at World Kid Lit are

• To support young people’s awareness of and access to diverse, inclusive, global literature, especially literature in translation, as well as English-language texts and authors from every continent of the world
• To support the education and library sectors to enable greater access for young people to global literature, and experiences of translation and language learning
• To support the English-language publishing landscape to publish more globally inclusive and diverse literature for young people, including commissioning new translations, especially from languages and regions of the world less well represented in translation, and by authors, illustrators and translators from backgrounds traditionally under-represented in publishing
